Responding to Homosexuality
Finding out a child, spouse, relative, friend, or coworker is homosexual can be difficult news. You’re hit with a complex combination of emotions – grief, shame, fear, guilt, disbelief. You’re often left struggling with questions like why and now what. You’re left wondering how you should respond as a Christian. At the same time, someone you care deeply about may be awaiting your response. What should you say? What shouldn’t you say? How should you interact?
The following resources are compiled to help you answer some of these questions and more, and guide you as you love the gays and/or lesbians in your life in a Christ-like way.

Years of heartbreak, confusion, and prayer followed before the Yuans found a place of complete surrender, which is God’s desire for all families. Their amazing story, told from the perspectives of both mother and son, offers hope for anyone affected by homosexuality.

Excerpt from Article:
The only way we can effectively help those bound by homosexuality to find forgiveness and freedom is to be there for them and to reach out in mercy. I can say with certainty that even the most militant gay activists, at their core, are crying for understanding. They want someone just to accept them where they are and not condemn them.
I’m convinced that the active, prayerful, Spirit-anointed compassion of God’s people is the key to bringing deliverance and hope to those caught in the homosexual lifestyle. If someone had confronted me with a judgmental attitude or even a hint of condemnation, I would’ve turned away. You see, I already had enough condemnation boiling deep inside me. What I needed most was an active demonstration of God’s love and mercy breaking into my prison of sin and guilt.
This audio message by Pastor Pete Briscoe explores the subject of homosexuality from a biblical perspective and the Christian response to it. It helps equip and encourage listeners to understand and interact with anyone embracing the gay lifestyle in a more Christ-like and loving way. Pete discusses God’s blueprint for human sexuality along with the boundaries our Creator has in place for us. Challenge your mindset and tune it closer to God’s heart for those hurting in a lost culture.
