Sex and Romance

Sex and Romance

By Pam Farrel

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God  . . . God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in [her]. . . We love, because He {God} first loved us.

Yes, God is with you on this journey of love, so tell Him how you feel.  Write God a letter—give Him all your feelings, fears, frustrations, and failures.  Then talk to Him and tell Him all your hopes, dreams, ideas, and imaginings.  If you hit a tough spot, simply stop and say, God show me what to do.  Show me what to say.  Show me who to be.  His love will compel Him to answer you.  He will plant a seed of an idea, a spark of desire, and give you a glint of hope for your marriage.

In Red Hot Romance Tips for Women, we encourage some romantic goal setting.  It can be as simple as a K.I.S.S.  Ask God what He would have you do to strengthen your marriage in the coming year.

Take time to answer a few simple questions to help you K.I.S.S.

What one question about romance, intimacy, or sex would you like answered?  You might want to pick up a book like Red Hot Monogamy to read as a couple, or 52 Ways to Wow Your Husband, or Red Hot Romance Tips to give you some ideas to add some spark to your relationship.

How would you like to feel about your husband or marriage by the end of the year?  Begin to pray each day for your man; it is difficult to stay upset at a guy when you are praying for him!

What one experience or interaction do you hope to have?  Set aside a little money and save for something special this year.  One idea I share in 52 Ways to Wow Your Husband is to find out what he wanted to be when he was a little boy—then work out a date to do that!  One wife found a place to rent a horse and go on a cattle drive, another discovered a way to have her husband ride in a racecar on a speedway, and one creative friend got her man down on the 50 yard line at a professional football game!

What time each week can you set aside to be ready for red hot monogamy?  (Maybe a Sunday afternoon “nap”)?
